Committed to the Society
MARC is committed to building a brighter future and giving back to the communities in which we operate.
Since its launch in 1989, MARC has integrated social responsibility with business. In a country like Qatar, where there are hundreds of organisations run by expatriates, which are engaged in various socio-cultural and humanitarian activities, there are plenty of opportunities for a company to contribute to the upliftment and progress of the society.
MARC has been contributing to causes and projects related to environment, culture, sports and humanitarian activities.
We are the main sponsors of Chaliyar Doha for the past four years. Chaliyar Doha is a socio-environmental group based in Doha which has been formed for the protection and restoration of Chaliyar River, which is one of the lifelines of the southern Indian state of Kerala, and one of the longest rivers of the state. Like many rivers in the world, Chaliyar too has been endangered by human encroachment and environmental degradation. MARC has been supporting Chaliyar Doha in their efforts to restore the river to its previous glory.
MARC also regularly supports the activities of alumni organisations and professional bodies, like the Engineers Forum and FOSA, which regularly undertake cultural and humanitarian activities.
MARC has also sponsored several sports tournaments and activities which contribute to the mental and physical wellbeing of expatriates.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a concept that has gained worldwide popularity with companies partnering with voluntary organisations and government institutions and launching their own initiatives to make the world a better place to live in and for the improvement of the society. MARC has made CSR a key component of its daily business operations.
